JACK'S NEWEST PERSONAL RELEASE

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH - BY JACK BRASSFIELD

Backstory :  Have you ever been a wingman?
Well, this song came to life because one of Jacks best buds called in a panic.  Dustin Rollins called Jack in desperation mode asking if he could quickly write a song that Dustin could present to his girlfriend to win her back.
Jack went right to work on it and Dustin gave Vanessa an acoustic version of the song later that night.  Did it work?
Yes & No
It worked that night, and the rest of us got a killer love song out of it.

Jack Brassfield is a singer-songwriter from Tulsa, Oklahoma, whose music career started in 1999 when he landed a publishing deal with Songs for the Planet out of Nashville. It was a time when you could still walk down Music Row, knock on doors, and get someone to listen. That early deal, under publisher Justin Peters, opened the door to a lifelong dedication to songwriting. The song that got him signed did not find an artist until 2024, but in the years since, Brassfield has written hundreds of songs, from commercial jingles to charting country singles.

His sound is rooted in honky tonk tradition, filled with beer-drinking anthems and heartfelt ballads. It's the kind of music that belongs in a dark bar with one stool, one guitar, and a crowd that knows every word. Brassfield writes from real life, believing that songs should mean something. His writing has been influenced by legends like Merle Haggard, his lyrics come first and are often written by hand, before he ever touches a guitar.

While he spent years performing in honky tonks with his band, his passion lies in songwriting.  Jack has collaborated with established writers such as Jake Kelly, Jan Buckingham, and Braden Jamison. Jamison, who writes full-time for Brad Paisley at Seagayle Publishing, recently recorded Brassfield’s song “Making It Up As I Go.” Gabe Choate also released “Life Goes On,” a song Brassfield originally wrote decades ago.

His own performance of “America Come Together,” a patriotic song written for another artist, led to a surprise appearance at the Midwest Republican Brunch inauguration in 2024. In 2025, the Eagles Foundation recognized him with an honorary title and adopted this song as their official anthem. He was also recognized as Texas State Songwriters Association 1st Runner Up Texas State Songwriters Championship - Male Songwriter of the Year Contest and Qualifier and is heading the Finale for Season 10 at the Cactus Theatre in Lubbock, Tx.

Outside of music, Brassfield owns Jack’s Coney Island in downtown Tulsa at 5th and Main. The restaurant features live music every weekday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are currently 11 local artists rotating through the schedule. For Brassfield, supporting songwriters and building a creative community is just as important as writing the next great country song.
